JJRC H16 Tarantula X6 Motor Replacement – Watch this video that features me fixing my quadcopter. I had a motor go bad on me during a recent flight and had to swap it out for a new one. This is a fairly easy task to complete. While filming, I was able to switch the motor for a good one, in less that 8 minutes. To complete this repair, you will need to purchase new motors.
You can purchase new JJRC H16 motors for under $10 that come in a pack of four. Once you have the motors, you will need to removed the propeller and drop the plastic gear from the bottom. This will allow you access to the motor screws. You will need a magnetic screw driver that is very small to remove these screws. After you remove the screws, you will need to take off the motor guards and unplug the motor wire.
Insert the new motor into the motor seat and put everything back together. Very simple procedure, if you follow the steps in the video.
